Springfield Hospital is pleased to welcome David Lewis, MD, to the General Surgery Department.  

Dr. Lewis received his Bachelor of Arts in Biology at Williams College. He continued his education by receiving his Doctor of Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO.  He completed his General Surgery residency and internship at the University of South Florida and is board-certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery.

Dr. Lewis was previously employed as the Head of General Surgery at MacDill Air Force Base. He also worked as a General Surgeon at King’s Daughters Medical Center, Ashland KY, Catholic Medical Center, Manchester NH, and as an Acute Care Surgeon/Trauma Surgeon at both Portsmouth Regional Hospital, Portsmouth, NH, and Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, ME.
