Hearts of Hope – 2021

Toward the end of each year, volunteers and staff of Springfield Hospital coordinate a special fundraising event called Hearts of Hope. This is a time to remember and honor those affected by cancer or heart disease. A different handmade heart ornament is created each year and individual names are placed on each heart. Hearts are purchased in memory or honor of loved ones you wish to remember during this special time of year. Funds raised are used for the support and comfort of our patients in the Cardiology and Oncology Clinic.

Please join us, and honor or remember a loved one while also supporting our clinic patients, by reserving your special holiday heart today. You may make your special request and donation online. Or, if you prefer, our annual appeal letter to donors and a contribution form can be downloaded, completed and mailed.

We continually update our list of donors and those who are honored and remembered on a special list, as you request.

All purchased hearts will be mailed per your instructions by mid-December. If you have questions, please contact Sandy Peplau at 802-885-7686. Thank you for your support.

Last Year’s Hearts of Hope Story

For 2020, we created the following video: Springfield Hospital Hearts of Hope 2020 video.  Our friends at SAPA TV assisted us in producing this video and we are grateful for their technical and creative genius.

We raised more than $7,000 in 2020 to help our oncology and cardiology patients. Here is our 2020 program.

Golf Challenge

Every fall for the past 21 years, Springfield Hospital has hosted its Golf Challenge to benefit the services of Springfield Hospital.  For 2021, our event was on Tuesday, September 14 at Fox Run Golf Club in Ludlow, Vermont.

Apple Blossom Cotillion

The 65th Apple Blossom Cotillion was held on Friday, April 30 and Saturday, May 1. The Cotillion looked very different than in the recent past, but when you review the history of the Cotillion, it has already gone through numerous changes. We proceeded with caution to help ensure the health and safety of the contestants, the volunteers, family members and the community.
