Hearts of Hope

It is that time of the year when we remember, and honor loved ones, friends, or co-workers in a unique way. The Hearts of Hope Campaign, sponsored by Springfield Hospital and its volunteers gives us time to pause, before the holiday rush, to reflect on those that have meant so much to us.

When you contribute $20 or more, a handmade heart ornament will be placed on the Hearts of Hope holiday tree at Springfield Hospital.

All donations will support Springfield Hospital and the compassionate, community-based care that is provided by our providers to our friends and family who experience health issues.

Apple Blossom

Springfield Hospital has made the difficult decision to discontinue its production of the Apple Blossom (Cotillion), which has been a cherished tradition in Springfield and the region for many years.

This decision was not made lightly, however declining participant and community engagement, the lack of a director for this year, and the costs of producing the event has led us to this decision. Given the many challenges of healthcare delivery in our community and our region, it is prudent at this time for Springfield Hospital to focus our resources on our healthcare mission.  

We understand this decision will be disappointing to many — just as it is to us. We offer our thanks to the community for their many years of support, enthusiasm, and dedication to Apple Blossom. We are truly saddened to deliver this news and are willing to share information and guidance to any individuals or organizations that may wish to assume responsibility for the production of this long-standing community tradition.
