SPRINGFIELD, VT (4-1-25) – Springfield Hospital’s Medical Staff is proud to announce the launch of a Healthcare Education Scholarship Program for one outstanding graduating senior planning to pursue ongoing education. This scholarship, valued at $3,000, aims to support students as they continue their healthcare education. All application materials must be received by May 15, 2025.
Eligibility Requirements: The scholarship is open to high school seniors who have been accepted into a post-secondary program. Applicants must submit the following:
- One letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor, or mentor.
- A 300-500 word essay outlining why they chose to pursue a career in healthcare and how the scholarship will help them achieve their goals.
- A copy of their high school transcript.
- Proof of acceptance into a post-secondary education program.
Guidelines:
• Eligible candidates include graduating high school seniors who are pursuing a healthcare career from Springfield High School, Green Mountain Union High School, Bellows Falls Union High School, and Fall Mountain Regional High School.
• Scholarships are one-time awards and are not renewable.
• The scholarships may be applied to tuition, fees, books, supplies and equipment required for their course of study.
• Scholarship funds will be given directly to the educational institution by August of the award year.
• Applicants must provide the registrar contact information for the institution they will be attending.
All application materials must be received by May 15, 2025.
